Ken called me to come look at the moon over the Oakland temple tonight. What a choice, amazing sight we saw from our little upstairs back porch about 9:15. We came home today about 3:30, just to grab a quick lunch before our 4:00 staff meeting. Afterwards, we came home to clean our apartment and do laundry, since we weren't able to do it on Saturday. If we'd worked late, like we usually do, we would have missed this awesome experience.
Last night we attended the fabulous Temple Hill Symphony Orchestra's performance at the Interstake Center next to the Oakland Temple and Visitors' Center. We were spiritually fed as we listened to Randall Benway play Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1.
Before we left the office tonight, a lady that I had talked to several weeks ago came by to meet me. Because of my simple conversation with her, she is going to church and being taught by the missionaries. She had called the mission office looking for assistance. I explained that we couldn't provide that kind of help and gave her the numbers of local organizations to call. I asked her if our missionaries could visit her and teach her how she could be happy. We will be attending her baptism soon! The gospel is so great!
What wonderful experiences and a beautiful picture!
