Our p-day on Saturday was spent going up and down stairs to do the usual laundry in the garage all morning and cleaning our small apartment. Can't understand why it takes us so long to do this and why we get so tired from it! Could be that age is a factor, or maybe it's because we cram it all into one day. But the highlight was rummaging through our little garage storage area and discovering this tiny Christmas tree, all strung with white lights, in a box. The pot was in there, too. Since we're not at home very much, we decided to trim our tree early. We also found a box of shiny, red ornaments and we hung our little San Francisco trolley car and a Chinese pin cushion. We plan to get some small ornaments this weekend and load that little tree up. Might even string some popcorn.
You can see the sunset out our living room window. It was blazing red-orange and didn't last long. If you stood at the window you could see the Bay and parts of San Francisco. Where we live is just five blocks from the temple, up in the hills of Oakland, so we have a wonderful view.
Well, it's back to work this morning. It's our missionaries' p-day so we'll see a lot of them come in and get mail and wash their cars at the garage. It'll be a good day!
Mama,
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to talk with you yesterday. Thanks for the reminder to check your blog. I've enjoyed the pictures and stories. I am so proud of both of you. I know your mission is hard work, but I know you are making a lasting impact and certainly making the mission presidents life MUCH easier!
We love you and pray for you daily!!!
Love, Faith
