We arrived home on Friday, May 21, after a long 7-day trip. After first visiting my elderly mother, we saw the girls' kids and the grandchildren at Dolly's house and were released by our stake president. We are thrilled to be home, but our mentally handicapped daughter, Julie, isn't doing well, and our hearts are broken. Without going into detail, she is having mental health issues that require us to be with her all the time. We love her and are devoting our lives to her care.
Our mission was wonderful and we are so thankful that we were able to serve at the time we did. If we'd put it off, Julie's health probably would have prevented us from being able to serve a fulltime mission.
The Lord is good and we are happy.
What a blessing to be able to serve when you did. We are so sorry to hear about Julie and we hope all will work out. It is amazing to see how the Lord blesses us even through the tough time. God bless you all.
